The end of the year is approaching fast, making the remaining month a perfect one for all types of top-tens, charts and awards for those who performed the best, or worst, in 2010. In Germany, such a top-ten has already been made public by the ADAC AutomarxX, the world's second-largest automobile club. The club decided that Germany's most influential brand wears the three-pointed star logo and is called Mercedes-Benz. The naming of Mercedes-Benz as the strongest brand in Germany was made after ADAC took into account several criteria, including Product Strength/Vehicle Quality, Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Environment, Brand Image, and Market Strength.  “It’s a great honor to take first place in the ADAC AutomarxX ranking, and we’re very happy about it,” said Joachim Schmidt, Mercedes-Benz Sales and Marketing vice president. “That we ranked at the top shows how successful and desirable the Mercedes-Benz brand is. At the same time, the result confirms us in our efforts to deliver our customers the very best in all areas each and every day. For us, this includes remaining the pioneer for active and passive safety systems, for which AutomarxX gives Mercedes-Benz the best marks this year.”  With this latest title, Mercedes-Benz has become the strongest competitor (and winner) of the strongest brand name since the introduction of the AutomarxX in 2001. The carmaker managed to snatch the title 12 times (the study has been so far published 23 times). AutomarxX takes into account the survey of 4,000 German citizens made by Motorwelt, as well as the aforementioned criteria.
